Denise Plante is leaving Colorado & Company after almost 16 years. However she will still be seen occasionally on Tegna's Daily Blast Live. She has been Colorado & Company's host since the program began in the fall of 2003. For anyone that doesn't know Colorado & Company is basically a 1 hour infomercial that airs on 9NEWS weekdays at 10AM and separates the 3rd & 4th hours of NBC's TODAY.

Lou from Pueblo West, CO e-mailed me this morning to let me know that Nexstar Broadcasting stations were off of DirecTV and have been since early July.
In Colorado that means FOX21 KXRM & KXTU-LD (CW-SOCO) have been pulled from DirecTV. While Nexstar owns KREX5 (CBS), KFQX FOX4 & KGJT-CD (My Network TV) in Grand Junction, the Grand Junction stations are unaffected because DirecTV doesn't carry local stations in western Colorado.
This is a dispute of course about fees, & Nexstar wanting to be compensated for it's stations, much the same as to why CBS has pulled stations across the country. By the way this dispute and the one by CBS mean a lot of CBS stations across the country are off of AT&T/DirecTV.
I have a counter at the top of the blog going for this dispute as well. (If you have a tip please let me know: coloradonewscenter@gmail.com )
Effective today (July 20, 2019) at Noon KCNC was pulled from DirecTV due to a carriage dispute. This is a common occurrence these days as local tv stations try to get more money from pay tv providers. For some directv customers this also affects CBS Sports Network & the Smithsonian channel.
We have a clock going at the top of the blog to show you how long the station is off.
FOX31 Meteorologist Greg Dutra is out and his replacement has already been named and will start sometime in August. His replacement is Brooks Garner who comes from Tegna's KHOU in Houston.
