CBS Colorado's Jim Benemann retires Friday March 31, after 43 Years on the air.

This Friday CBS Colorado anchor Jim Benemann will retire after 40 years on the air, most of the 40 years in Colorado.  He had 2 stints at KCNC one in the late 1980s and again in the early 2000s. Between his two stints he worked at KGW in Portland, OR & 9NEWS--KUSA in 1997 alongside Adele Arakawa taking over the anchor chair from Ed Sardella, when he retired in 2000.

Jim has covered everything from major Wild Fires to major Flooding in 2013, to school shootings (Columbine, Platte Canyon High School, S.T.E.M. School--Highlands Ranch, to the most recent the shooting at Denver East hight school.), blizzards & 9/11.     Jim was a calming voice for many of us during breaking news situations.

Jim Enjoy your retirement!!!

We will try to post more pictures from Jim's retirement on Friday... SO Stay Tuned.
