Happy Anniversary to 99.5 The Mountain.

While we don't typically cover radio here at Colorado News Center, I wanted to point this out.

Today marks the date that KKHK-FM (Known at the time as "99.5 The Hawk") flipped over to new call letters KQMT-FM and began calling them selves "99.5 The Mountain" and started calling there DJ's 'Mountain Guides', today is there 20th anniversary on the air.

The station it's self had been sold by Tribune Broadcasting to Entercom Communications in January of 2002, I have a brief history listed below in purple.

SO HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO 99.5 THE MOUNTAIN.

Telemundo Denver (KDEN) now has the Oxygen network avaliable over the air.

KDEN-TV----Telemundo Denver now has the Oxygen cable network available over the air here in Denver, it launched in mid May and they have been adjusting the signal since.   So if you want another channel to watch just re-scan your TV and you should be able to receive Oxygen.   The Oxygen network is available on the other NBC O&O stations across the country and started launching on those stations in early March 2022.

All of  Telemundo Denver's other sub-channels most of which are in English are still available including Cozi TV & L.X.     Cozi TV is also available on 9NEWS on digital sub channel 9.2 in the Denver area.

If you want to receive Oxygen over the air however make sure you re-scan your TV & make sure your antenna is pointed in the direction of Fredrick, CO because that is where KDEN has it's transmitter.  (Most of the Denver TV stations including 9NEWS broadcast from Lookout Mountain in Golden, CO.)
