Potential historic designation endangers Denver7’s future

Continuing coverage here at Colorado News Center about KMGH's attempt to get new studio facilities...

Denver's 7 has an article on their website that we have a link to below, talking about why a landmark designation could hurt KMGH's news gathering ability, it's an interesting read & at the same time it does make since.  

The building is certainly outdated, hopefully we will know here in a few weeks what might or might not happen with the building & property.   We have to wait until Denver City Council meets to see where things might be headed.   

 

(Some functions of KCDO (Sales, Traffic) also operate out of the KMGH studio facilities, but master control remains out in Aurora on Jamaica Court for now, until new studios for KMGH come into play).

Anchor Britt Moreno leaving CBS4

Another Denver on-air person has left....

After 13 years with KCNC, anchor Britt Moreno has decided to leave the station to be closer to family out of state.  

Her last day on the air is today, she made an announcement yesterday on her social media account.  She is headed to NBC Station KXAN in Austin, TX.

The 9NEWS & Channel 20 excidous continues. Meterologist Kylie Bearse is leaving 9NEWS and is scheduled to go right across the street.

9NEWS & Channel 20 Meteorologist Kylie Bearse will be leaving KUSA/KTVD and is headed across the street to FOX31 & Colorado's own channel 2.   As of this writing her bio is still listed at 9NEWS.COM, her last day at 9NEWS will be April 9, 2021.   She joins KDVR/KWGN April 26,2021 (Apparently not much of a non-compete clause).       

This is the 4th on-air person to leave 9NEWS & Channel 20 since January, so the exits continue. 

 

 

 

 

  

 

  

MeTV is now avaliable over the air to a bigger audience in Denver.

Classic tv network MeTV, is now available as of this past week on KCNC 4.4 over the air. (You will need to re-scan your tv to get it).   MeTV was previously available from KTVD 20.2 but this ended February 1st of last year after KTVD joined up with the Heroes & Icons network.  

MeTV has been available by way of Comcast & DirecTV via  KREG-TV  Glenwood Springs, however there is no over the air coverage of KREG in Denver because there transmitter is located near Glenwood Springs.   

That has now changed thanks to KCNC--CBS4.
