The Scrips layoffs have reached Colorado. 3 or 4 staffers at KOAA News5 in Colorado Springs/Pueblo have been affected by the cuts. So far no one has been affected at KMGH & KCDO in Denver, scripps as a whole has been doing layoffs at other stations across the country so the staffers in Pueblo are not alone.
In fact Scrips stock has been down in recent months, so layoffs are not much of a surprise. As of this writing Scrips Stock is $1.41/Share a new low for the year, that's down 36.2% for 2025.
KOAA Doesn't appear to have as many cuts as other Scrips stations do, we have a partial list below made from snippets found local news papers, FTV Live and forums.
