KDVR Adding another newscast, with programing shifts at KWGN.

FOX31 Will add another hour of news in the morning beginning Monday, extending the newscast to 10AM.  It sounds as if they will keep the 11AM newscast on as well.   Colorado's Own Channel 2 will see a shift in programing beginning Monday, Dr. Oz will move to 9AM & Colorado's best to 10AM.

KDVR Will debut it's new studio & set late this morning.

FOX31's new updated studio & set will debut this morning at 11AM April 15th.  Here are some pictures I found on-line.

The sale of KOAA has been approved.

The FCC has given it's okay to the Scripps take over of Cordillera Communications the owners of KOAA NEWS5 in Colorado Springs/Pueblo.  This makes KOAA a sister station to KMGH Denver's 7 & KZCO-LD Azteca Colorado in Denver.  The sale should be complete sometime in the next 1-3 weeks.

The question now becomes will 9NEWS continue to work with NEWS5 or will they start working with KRDO-TV ?

KDVR & KWGN will remain a duopoly.

It appears that KDVR FOX31 & KWGN Colorado's Own Channel 2 will remain together, Nexstar announced it's divestitures yesterday and Denver wasn't on the list.  However KMGH/KZCO-LD's owner Scripps & KUSA/KTVD's owner Tegna appear to be the big winners of stations after this announcement.

FOX31 has moved to the Newsroom.

FOX31 KDVR has moved it's newscasts to the KWGN set in the newsroom, as they update the studio.  (KDVR was originally in the newsroom from around January 2009 to sometime in 2013 when it went back to the studio).

They will be broadcasting from the newsroom until April when they debut their new studio--hopefully the desk will be a little bigger this time around.

Anchor breaks moniter at FOX31.

FOX31 Anchor Chris Parente accidentally broke the large video screen in the background last Thursday, and then the station was making fun of him for it.  It also kind of messed up the weather forecast..
