KCNC CBS4 is now calling themselves CBS NEWS COLORADO beginning tomorrow, in addition for the first time since September 8, 1995 (When they were still an NBC O&O) they will have a 9AM newscast.  There first 9AM newscast was on the air from 1990-1995.

And they are re-adding a 4PM newscast for the first time since September 2, 2011, when it was dropped in favor of Dr. Phill.

According to a press release from the station they will now have 45 Hours of news Monday-Friday, a huge increase for the station, who in the past has had around 32 hours a week.  This doesn't include streaming news on CBSN Denver the on-line streaming service from KCNC.

KMGH Has a new URL so update your bookmarks.

Denver's 7 today has changed their web address for the first time since March 1, 2001.  Does this mean there will be a major website update coming?  We haven't heard anything but won't be surprised if it happens in the coming weeks.

WRTV in Indianapolis changed its web address from "theindychannel.com" to wrtv.com back in April with the current Scripps layout.

Long time 9NEWS Anchor Gary Shiparo will retire from 9NEWS & Channel 20 by year's end.  He has been at 9NEWS since 1983 when he joined the station's then Boulder Bureau. He has been on 9NEWS Mornings since 1989 (recently called "Mile High Mornings") .

In his 40-year career he has covered all sorts of things in Denver, from the Pope visiting in 1993 for world youth day to 9/11 (He was on the air when the attacks began), to COVID-19.   He will be doing some part time work so he will still be around for a while.

FOX31 & Colorado's Own Channel 2 Live Truck.

I saw this on Thursday while traveling in Centennial, CO.   One of FOX31 / Colorado's Own Channel 2 live trucks headed back to the station.  It got on to I-25 headed towards downtown Denver.

I seldom see live trucks or satellite trucks out and about here in Denver so when I do I try to get a photo.  (I'm usually in the wrong place at the wrong time to get a photograph)
